What’s in the assessment
Within one week of being provided appropriate access, you receive a written assessment covering:
- A full estate inventory — every server or VM catalogued with its size, operating system, and current run cost.
- The 7 Rs disposition — each workload mapped to retire, retain, rehost, replatform, refactor, repurchase, or relocate.
- A three-year cost comparison — current platform run-rate vs. AWS vs. AWS with MAP credits applied, side by side.
- Per-workload cost detail and a risk profile — what each application costs to run, and how hard or risky it is to move.
- AWS MAP funding — to be calculated depending on the results of the assessment, since it depends on what you’re migrating and how much.
- A phased migration plan — sequenced by cost, risk, and quick wins. Yours to keep, with or without us.
- A 45-minute read-out call with one of our senior AWS engineers, who walks you through the assessment. We deliver the report in that call and send you the written copy straight after.
These timings assume we’ve been given the access we need. For a migration assessment that usually means read-only access to your environment, plus permission to run our automation and infrastructure-scanning scripts. The one-week turnaround starts once that access is in place, and we agree the scope with you first.
Most companies don’t know this
AWS may fund a significant share of your migration.
AWS Migration Acceleration Program (MAP) is an AWS-funded incentive that can offset a significant share of your migration cost for organisations moving onto AWS. Funding is delivered through certified AWS Advanced Tier Partners — like Kubiieo.
How much MAP applies is set case by case — it depends on workload type, spend trajectory, and partner status, not a flat rate. What stays constant: going forward you pay only for the AWS services you actually use, which we then optimise.
The assessment tells you in writing whether MAP applies to your estate, and the indicative funding range you would be looking at.
